Capital Impact looks forward to hosting partners in order to continue our conversation about creating a more inclusive food system in Washington D.C., as well as ways to better align the local community with capital for healthy food businesses.
Last December, Capital Impact Partners hosted “Community and Capital: Expanding Equity through Inclusive Food Systems” to explore how local food systems can be better financially supported in the District of Columbia. Building on the work of that day, we plan to gather a diverse, active, and impassioned group of local leaders to collaborate and create the vision and to inform the social objectives that will advance an inclusive food system in our region.
Goals of our gathering include:
-
Creating a vision for inclusive food systems that a range of organizations can adopt
-
Informing objectives for an inclusive initiative across a matrix of goals including healthy food access and economic opportunity
Please contact Olivia M. Rebanal, Director of Inclusive Food Systems, at orebanal@capitalimpact.org for more information.
