To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining how Capital Impact Partners collects, uses and shares information we collect on the Capital Impact Partners’ website www.capitalimpact.org (“Site”) effective as of the date posted above. By using the Site and submitting information you agree that we may use and disclose your information according to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

The Information We Collect

Information you provide

You can visit the Site, read about our services, check career opportunities, download certain files, etc., without giving us any personal information about yourself. On some pages you can provide information in order for us to respond to your interest or request or to subscribe to our newsletter or email list. The types of personal information collected on these pages are name, address, email address, phone number, name of organization, interests and other similar information. You may also be able to register an account or create a User Profile on our Site. During registration you may be required to give contact information, such as your name, postal address, and email address. We provide information about job openings on our Careers page. We use a third party staffing partner, ADP, to assist us in our staffing process. When you whose to apply for a position you will be automatically redirected to a page operated by ADP, who collects all information that you submit. This information can be shared with us by ADP.

Automatically collected information

We automatically collect information when you visit the Site including your IP address, the pages you access, and how your use the Site. We also may collect other non-personally identifiable information when you visit our Site such as your device address or ID, web browser, device type, the features of the apps you use, the web pages or sites that you visit just before or just after you visit our Site, the pages or other content you view or otherwise interact with on the Site, and the dates and times that you visit, access, or use the Site.. This information is gathered from all users and may be associated with your personal information and includes what areas our users visit most frequently and what services they access most often. This information helps us develop a better Site that is more useful and accessible to you.

Accessing your information and your choices

If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire certain services (such as an eNewsletter), you may correct, update, or “opt out” by making the change on your User Profile. Alternatively, you may contact us via the online form on our Contact Us page. We may retain all information you submit for backups, archiving, prevention of fraud and abuse, analytics, satisfaction of legal obligations, or where we otherwise reasonably believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so.

We may provide you the opportunity to “opt-out” of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, mailings, or promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or un-checking your original selections on your online User Profile form. Unsubscribing from promotional emails will not stop us from sending emails about your account or your transactions with us.

You can choose to delete or block cookies by setting your browser to either reject all cookies or to allow cookies only from selected sites. If you block cookies performance of the Site may be impaired and certain features may not function at all

This Site contains links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by Capital Impact Partners. Please be aware that we, Capital Impact Partners, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by this Site.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to guard against unauthorized access, destruction, misuse, loss or alteration of data we receive. We may use standard encryption technology to protect information being transferred to our Site

No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its security.

You also play a role in protecting your information. Do not share your log-in information with anyone and advise us as soon as possible if it is lost or stolen. We will understand any action or transaction taken using your log-in information to be authorized by you.

Children’s Privacy

This Site is not designed nor intended to be attractive to use by children under the age of 18 (“Minors”). We do not knowingly collect information from Minors. If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any information to us.

Notices to California Residents

Your California Privacy Rights. California residents with an established business relationship with us are permitted by California law once a year to request information about the manner in which we shared certain categories of information with others for their marketing purposes during the prior calendar year. We do not share personal information with others for their direct marketing purposes.

California Consumer Privacy Act Notice. As a non-profit entity, Capital impact Partners is not required to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Notice to Nevada Residents

We do not transfer personal information for monetary consideration. If you would like to tell us not to sell your information in the future please email us at [Email address] with your name, postal address, telephone number and email address with “Nevada do not sell” in the subject line.

Notice to Virginia Residents

As a non-profit entity, Capital Impact Partners is not required to comply with the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act.

Changes in this Privacy Policy

From time to time we may amend this Privacy Policy. The Policy in effect at the time you use the Site governs how we may use your information. If we modify our Privacy Policy, we will post the revised Policy and the revised effective date on this Site and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
