D.C. Coalition for Long Term Care and Capital Impact Partners are holding a working roundtable meeting on advancing the home care cooperative model in the District on March 27, 2019. This event will bring together a small group of local leaders and stakeholders who are focused on creating innovative solutions to address the workforce shortage through the home care cooperative model. The focus will be to develop an initial framework to pilot the home care cooperative model in the District.

Roundtable meeting goals include:

  • Convene the key stakeholders with a current interest in developing home care cooperatives in the District of Columbia as a solution to address local poverty challenges and create wealth building opportunities;
  • Conduct SWOT analysis with the group to begin to identify common themes, opportunities, and barriers that need to be considered as part of a demonstration/pilot program; and
  • Sketch out initial framework for the design and implementation of a D.C. home care cooperative pilot initiatives.

The meeting will be held from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Edgewood Commons located at 635 Edgewood Street, NE Washington, D.C. 20017 in Crawford Hall, located on the 9th Floor.
