Pivoting to Create Opportunity Amidst National Change
2016 was marked by change—both for the U.S. and for Capital Impact. We pivoted to ensure our work remains relevant and effective for the communities we support. Our Annual Report documents our 2016 lending, cutting-edge research, new tools and partnerships, and innovative capital aggregation and deployment efforts.
Integrated Health Care for Vulnerable California Residents
Napa Valley may be known for its beautiful vineyards, but unfortunately it is also home to thousands of uninsured farmworkers and working poor. Access to quality health care in this rural area is limited. With its team-based, integrated model of care, Ole Health serves as a vital lifeline for those most in need.
Capital Impact is providing grants ranging from $10K to $50K through our Healthier California Fund to Federally Qualified Health Centers and look-a-likes planning and executing projects that will help provide whole-person care to low-income patients. We encourage all interested organizations to apply.
We’re proud to announce that Project Equity and the Food Co-op Initiative are co-winners of our third annual Co-op Innovation Award. The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate leadership in bringing the cooperative model to scale and in creating social impact for low-income communities. Join us in congratulating them on their efforts!
Fast Company magazine took an in-depth look at the role that Community Development Financial Institutions like Capital Impact play in delivering social impact. We’re honored to have them note: “Companies like Capital Impact Partners don’t do the work they do for recognition or glory—they do it to get money to the people and communities.”
As summer kicks off, are you looking to make a career change? Capital Impact offers a mission-driven experience and a suite of benefits. Our openings include a portfolio loan officer, compliance manager, and writer. We look forward to hearing from all interested candidates.
